What I Remember:
Russell’s Brussells Mussels
“Le Vigne” must be French for “the worm”.  Trying to poison it with Groppa, then smoke it to death and finish it with Scotch.
Fine Cubans at La Havana with Ed, Brit, Uwe
Making plans to have dinner with Brit and Ed; they stayed late and missed dinner; running into them in the Grand Place; Getting a “Whasssup!” echo from the plaza.
Climbing Atomium; all the cartoons.
Revisiting the shops where I bought the tapestry and lace 2 years earlier.

What I Brought Back:
Enough Leonidas Pralines (Belgian chocolates) to sink a small boat

Amazing architecture in the Grand Plaza of Brussels. Yes...that is a statue of a boy peeing.  It's world famous.

Atomium was built for the 1958 World's Fair.  It is a giant (over 300' high) model of an iron atom.  An elevator takes you to the top and escalators and stairs guide you back down.

The structure has been represented in various cartoons.

Brussels' claim to fame: mussels fresh from the North Sea, ...Tapestry and Lace, ...and chocolates worth the 8-hour flight.
